Primary Objective of the Role
Fitting duties to all forms of rotating equipment within close tolerances to drawings and manuals and all other duties as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor

Interpersonal Relationships
The Fitter is required to develop key interpersonal relationships with:
Internal stakeholders
- Country manager
- Regional service manager
- Service centre manager
- Supervisor
- Customer service team
- Storeman

Key Accountabilities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Completing repairs on critical equipment, including yet not limited to:
➢ Strip and Assembly of any jobs that are repaired in the Service Centre or on site
➢ Machine Maintenance
➢ Site duties
• Completing
➢ Quality and hold point documents
➢ Inspection report
➢ Daily timesheet & Prestart meeting report
➢ Preliminary inspection on portable and fixed equipment
➢ Safety required reports
➢ Ensure orders are checked for accuracy and integrity before dispatching to customers
➢ Check work orders and materials usage plan from daily work orders and ensure used correct materials from stock.
➢ Train new and existing staff to ensure the that staff have the knowledge and ability to perform their roles.
➢ Willing to work reasonable amounts of overtime on both weekdays and weekends as required too service customer requirements.
➢ Promote ‘Weir’ brands and services throughout the territory and when on site.
➢ Assist supervisor/Service manager to issue service quotations and advise on assembly and inspection matte
➢ Report absenteeism to workshop supervisor
• Actively promote a safe work environment and support the safe work system.
➢ Perform mechanical repair and refurbishment tasks as required to the highest quality standard

Selection Criteria
Essential:
• Fitter or Machinist Trade Certificate
• Bachelor degree of Mechanical engineering
• Previous pump and/or valve fitting experience
• Excellent people skills
• Desire to produce high quality work within tight tolerances
• Easy-going, friendly, self-reliant and dependable with a positive attitude and a self-starter.
• High quality negotiation skills.
• Ability to liaise with all levels within the company and external providers.
• High-level communication skills, both written and oral.
• Refined listening skills.

Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of all employees to ensure that they comply with all WMA policies, procedures and instructions where appropriate and that their actions do not subject any person to risk.
The following responsibilities detail how Weir Minerals Australia will discharge its legal EHS duties, as far as is reasonable practicable, and deliver its policy commitments. Each tier within the management structure has prescribed duties as indicated below:-
All Employees/Operatives will:
• Ensure the implementation of the Company EHS Policy for the prevention of injury, damage or loss to
Company personnel and resources.
• Adhere to the risk assessment controls identified.
• Not interfere or misuse any equipment supplied.
• Maintain equipment supplied for carrying out work tasks including daily maintenance where appropriate.
• Use personal protective equipment supplied in accordance with site risk assessments and site rules.
• Attend any suitable training to ensure that they are competent to perform their duties safely.
• Comply with any rules specific to a particular site and any Company wide health, safety or environmental
requirements.
• Report any injuries, unsafe acts or conditions to line managers.
• Support EHS policy to help deliver cultural development and sustained continual improvement in EHS
performance.
