Position Details Position Title: Fitter Department: Service Centre Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia Reports To: Mechanical Supervisor Key Accountabilities • Completing repairs on critical equipment, including yet not limited to: ➢ Create inspection (disassembly & assembly) report as per standard and customer requirement ➢ Strip and Assembly of any jobs that are repaired in the Service Centre or on site ➢ Ensure maintenance and calibrations for workshop equipment are up to date ➢ Raise corrective actions for any safety or quality issues and put plans in place to rectify ➢ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings ➢ Site duties • Completing ➢ Quality and hold point documents ➢ Inspection report ➢ Daily timesheet & Prestart meeting report ➢ Preliminary inspection on portable and fixed equipment ➢ Safety required reports ➢ Ensure orders are checked for accuracy and integrity before dispatching to customers ➢ Check work orders and materials usage plan from daily work orders and ensure used correct materials from stock. ➢ Train new and existing staff to ensure the that staff have the knowledge and ability to perform their roles. ➢ Willing to work reasonable amounts of overtime on both weekdays and weekends as required too service customer requirements. ➢ Promote ‘Weir’ brands and services throughout the territory and when on site. ➢ Assist supervisor/Service manager to issue service quotations and advise on assembly and inspection matte ➢ Report absenteeism to workshop supervisor • Actively promote a safe work environment and support the safe work system ➢ Perform mechanical repair and refurbishment tasks as required to the highest quality standard • Inspecting: ➢ Own Fitting work • Demonstrated Quality Control • Site Work ➢ Completing site work within budget and time expectations ➢ Demonstrating Customer Service ➢ Working in in a safe manner and in line with Site and WMA/WMM policy and procedure.
Objectives & Measurement Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities: Objectives: • Implement and maintain risk management and loss prevention strategies (e.g. Life Saving Behaviors Campaign) • Ensure Business Units are aware of relevant statutory compliance and have systems in place to ensure requirements are met • Ensure all required statutory information is communicated to Business Units and relevant statutory authorities • Assist Business Units with the development of relevant compliance procedures for site activities (e.g. Training Matrix, Work Place Audits etc.) • Contribute to the SHEQ Department team in the development and continuous improvement of the Weir Management System • Assist Line Management in the implementation of documents or required workplace changes to ensure statutory compliance • Conduct regular monitoring of management system functionality • Provide comprehensive audit report to Business Unit detailing improvements and corrective actions where applicable • Assist Business Unit Managers in incident investigations to determine root causes, contributing factors and corrective actions • Communication of incident key learnings to other Weir Group Business Units • Undertake all responsibilities as Injury Management Co-Ordinator and assist Line Managers with relevant documentation required for successful injury management • Provide functional support to Business Units in the development, implementation, testing and review of Site Emergency Management Plan • Assist Business Unit Managers to ensure personnel are competent to perform required tasks
