The German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) is the main geo-scientific institute providing advice to the German federal government in all geo-relevant questions. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia (MECC) and BGR, within the framework of the German-Mongolian Development Cooperation and on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), jointly implement the project “Environmentally Responsible Mining”, (ERM) until 30^th September 2026.
